The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Rocky Mountain Chapter is setting high expectations with two very different golf experiences, each guaranteed to achieve great success in raising awareness and funding that will be used to support medical research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
On June 25, 2007, our local tournament will be held at what will be Denver's newest private country club, The Golf Club at Ravenna. Legendary architect Jay Morrish saw the potential in this dramatic property and thus chose Ravenna to be one of his final masterpieces. Morrish's product of ingenuity is an equally stunning and challenging course complete with breathtaking views and signature Colorado landscape. With up to five tee boxes on each hole, golfers at all levels will enjoy this course.
On November 11-12, 2007, we will be executing a very exclusive destination tournament. Players will travel by private charter to Las Vegas, Nevada to play in our second tournament at the Cascata Golf Club and enjoy premium service and accommodations during an overnight stay in "the city that never sleeps". Cascata, Italian for "waterfall," is aptly named as a 418-foot waterfall runs from the steep mountainside into a river that roars through the clubhouse. Identified as "golf's hidden treasure" by Sports Illustrated Magazine, this Rees Jones-designed golf course opened in 2000 and is already celebrated as one of the finest developments in the world.
With the unwavering support from our Title Sponsor, McDonald Automotive Group, and those taking part as sponsors and participants, the Rocky Mountain Chapter of JDRF will be sure to exceed our set goals, making momentous progress towards finding a cure for type 1 diabetes! There is a cure for diabetes and together, we will find it. If you would like to receive additional tournament and sponsorship information, please contact 303-779-0525.
